NICHE DESIGN VOL. 2: THE CREATIVE PRACTICEBy Itay Dreyfus
Imprint: Niche design
Designer-publisher Itay Dreyfus opens
the public draft of
Niche design Vol. 2: The Creative Practice.
This issue explores the conflicting forces that shape creative work, through personal
experience and conversations with others. It discusses enduring suffering, seeking recognition,
and being shaped by others, while questioning the
meaning of failure and success. Alongside threads on working under a
pseudonym, designing our workspaces, and the state of creative tools.
Supporting my work as a patron for this issue costs $100. It gets you:
2 copies of the issue (give one away, or keep both)
Your name immortalized on the credits page
Above all, becoming a Niche patron means you directly support me as a
self-publisher. I write, edit, design, interview, and operate each issue myself.
More funding lets me allocate more resources to the project:
investing more in printing materials, hiring collaborators, and, most
importantly, dedicating more time without having to
depend on client work. It all leads down the road towards making Niche
design a sustainable publishing business.
